Direct Extrusion
Direct extrusion or single-line compounding allows semi-finished products such as films, plates, pipes or profiles to be produced in a single process step. In direct extrusion, the intermediate granule production step, which is typical for plastics and other products, is skipped. As a result, the investment and operating costs and energy requirements of the production process are significantly reduced. Today, some products can only be produced by the single-stage direct extrusion method.
Polymer materials provide improved mechanical properties when exposed to less heat and shear forces through direct extrusion.
Advantages;
- The granule production step, which requires a second process, is eliminated.
- Polymer, will be expose to less heat and shear forces.
- Formulation informations remains within enterprise.
- Production planning and product design flexibility is high.
- It saves energy
